About Me
My name is Marcela Lopez
¡Hola! I'm Marcela Lopez, an instructional designer with a passion for creating learning experiences that are vibrant, culturally rich, and learner-centered. I’m originally from Cali, Colombia. A city known for its color, energy, and rhythm! Qualities I bring into every project I design.
My journey began in the classroom, where I taught Spanish and core subjects in K–12 immersion settings and served as a World Language teacher. These experiences shaped my understanding of how learners engage with content across languages and cultures, and sparked my interest in designing meaningful, inclusive instruction.
Currently, I’m pursuing a Master’s in Instructional Design at Grand Canyon University and I am working on earning a practical certification from the IDOL Academy, where I have had hands-on experience in instructional design and eLearning development. Through this training, I’ve become proficient in tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise 360, Camtasia, Vyond, Canva, and the Adobe Creative Suite. I also use learning management systems like Canvas and Moodle, and apply ADDIE and SAM design models to guide my work.
